The 2024 edition of COMPUTEX will start June 4th in Taiwan
Established in 1981, COMPUTEX TAIPEI (also called COMPUTEX) is the leading global ICT and IoT show, co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taipei Computer Association (TCA).
COMPUTEX is based upon Taiwan’s complete ICT clusters and covers the whole spectrum of ICT industry, from established brands to startups and from ICT supply chain to IoT ecosystems.
With strong R&D and manufacturing capabilities and IPR protection, Taiwan is a strategic destination for foreign companies and investors looking for partners in global technology ecosystems.
Taiwan, the beautiful island
I only went twice to Taiwan and when I speak about the beautiful island, I'd rather speak about traveling to its capital Taipei; I hope that I'll have chances to discover the rest of the country.
My two visits to Taipei spread across a quarter of a century, spending two weeks as an IT consultant for FNAC in 1999, and one week in 2009 visiting COMPUTEX TAIPEI as a business software editor.
Time has come to get back to Taipei next month to visit the 2024 edition of COMPUTEX TAIPEI. I have decided to plan this forthcoming visit one year ago, just before the 2023 exhibition I knew I couldn't attend.
Reconnecting with Taipei
I have been reconnecting with Taipei through LinkedIn since last year.
After I had the chance to be invited on LinkedIn by the Secretary-General of the Taipei Computer Association, Sakura Yang, I started to grow my Taiwanese network, becoming acquainted afterwards with many of her fellow professionals at Taipei Computer Association, Lee Chen Yu and Justina Wu, and also at InnoVEX, Grace Chen, Kristie Lee, Hannah Kuo and Yu-Ying Chen to name them.
For those who discover the Taipei Computer Association, TCA is the leading industrial organization in Taiwan. Its 4,000 members engages various segments of the information communication technology (ICT) industry such as software, hardware, semiconductors and components, manufacture, sales, network communication service, etc.
Services provided by the Association include activities such as trade events, amongst them, COMPUTEX TAIPEI and InnoVEX.
Those two concomitant events are the trigger of my travelling to Taipei.
One trip, two main events
COMPUTEX TAIPEI is the world's leading technology B2B trade show held every June in Taipei, Taiwan.
